As I sit in today’s lecture, my mind flickers like a Hotel Hawaii sign with a busted bulb, and with the ‘No Vacancy’ sign flashing. Having rushed from work following a string of meetings, where I was ‘rewarded’ with additional work, I’m wondering if the convenient parking space I just found is too good to be true.
Flashback to work; I’m sitting in one of several meetings, and have a spark of inspiration for a school assignment! I continue to smile, nod, listen, hold my pen thoughtfully, take notes, interact and provide input to the meeting …. whilst also attempting to grasp at the foot of my idea, which is trying to break free, so it can find another brain that is ready, willing and able to give it the attention it deserves ….
Did I turn off the hair straightener this morning?
